Re: Rover V8 Wildcat heads, valve gear problem
You and real steel are right ! You do seem to be having a run of bad luck. When I bought my TA heads, I had the valve pockets machined for a roller cam, but springs put in for a solid cam, then when I had enough funds, I just had to change springs,retainers,p/rods etc, and my geometry was good to go...

Re: Clutch options TVR Chimaera, 5L Wildcat. Also, gearbox
I have the old twin plate McLeod on mine, and through the years where the quest for more power resulted in finally killing the clutch . I found a company that made me a twin disc ceramic clutch, utilising the McLeod pressure plate, I now have a clutch I can’t break ! My T5 has the quaife internals,a...

Re: Wrap or not to wrap
Do not wrap mild steel headers ! It makes them rust quicker,
Don’t ask how I know
I have stainless headers that I wrapped, really reduces underbody heat,

Re: water meth on a blown v8
I have it, IMG_8486.jpeg I’m running a fair bit of boost, I have 8 injectors in the “hat” and 8 in the manifold. You can see the water/meth injectors above the blower. I’m using a fuel tech 550 to “run” everything. Under boost, most of the fueling is done in the manifold, the water/meth keeps the ro...

Please note, inlet gaskets come in different thicknesses,

Re: TA / Wildcat heads
You can use “cut” down rover inlet gaskets, and standard rover/TVR exhaust gaskets Mine have been extensively ported, rover won’t fit, so I have my inlet and exhaust gaskets made by Ram gasket solutions, 1F072E46-5B9F-4B3D-8271-8E813B43610E.png I used hollow pushrods, I bought my heads from TRS in A...
