remember it's only a bodge if it DOSN'T worK
My oil light has stopped working too
is there any way to check the bulb and wiring is OK before replacing the oil switch as it isn't very old and I would be surprised if it had failed again, no light when ignition is on but im sure the light flickered for a nano second whilst the starter was cranked. Any ideas?

Mk3 Toyota Hilux 4x4 with 3.9efi RV8 now with Marlin Crawler Transmission
take the connector off the pressure switch and put it to earth ..if the bulb lights it the switch ..
because thats all the switch does ..when no oil pressure the switch just puts the wire to earth so the bulb lights and when you have pressure it breaks the connection ..light off
