its a 5 litre rover lump with a flapper injection system and a Mark Adams tornado adjustble ECU was runnung ok about 15 to the gallon and then suddenly started running really bad. she will now only run at 3000 revs or over, anything under that and she stalls and shes drinking the liquid gold like th...

does an R380 fit ?

hi, i've got an SD1 and my LT77 has died. would an R380 from a defender or disco fit as long as i use my bellhousing or are there lots of other mods to make as well ?

RV8 heads again

has anyone heard of or know anything about "Power Racing big valve heads" i have the chance of a pair but have never heard of them. all i know is there at least 10 years old but seem to be running fine on the engine there on. the guy reckons there stage 3 but cannot confirm anything. :shock:

just checking , are all SD1 V8 alternator brackets the same i.e will an alternator bracket from a series 1 fit my Vitesse,

yeah thats it !

we share the exact same problem.

i ended up fitting twin fans to cool her down but of course that hasn't solved the problem it just kinda of eerrr well cools her down with a loud humming noise and i would add a smiley face here but they dont seem to work for me !!

thanks for that TC yeah it is ali but kinda looks like a stainless centre (although not sure) i've got the cooler thermostat as well but hasn't really solved the problem and as i've now decided to put the car back on the road i just want to make the right choices before spending the hard earned stuff

i've been looking for months now on a well known auction site at a very pricey stainless rad. you have all probably seen it and i'm wondering does it just look pretty or is it a good idea. the reason i'm asking is since i put a 5.0 litre tuned TVR lump in my SD1 about 4 years ago, it always runs hot...

20 odd years ago i remember having a vitesse with a high pressure oil pump, i seem to remember it had a different gauge in the dash and ran about 75 psi ( but i do have a bad memory) can you still buy them as i cant find 1 and is it such a good idea or will it hide possible problems ? cheers for any...
