Lambda sensors: opinions

Post by Alley Kat »

Not my area, but a mate with a TVR Chimaera has lazy Lambda sensors, according to a tuning shop. Is it OK to use generic "universal" replacements (£20ea approx) or best to go for stock (£80ea).

Someone on a forum apparently said it's OK to remove them and replace the tune resistor... Again, not my area at all, but instinct says to keep them...

when mine fail i will be going back to using the bosch ones like that are fitted now, not sure how good or acurate the cheaper ones are mate, just my opinion.
if you get the correct tune resisstor (green i think for non cat) you can run with out the lambda sensors,
BUT not sure on that as mine was a green in my hot wire and i had no cats or lambda sensors.
