Seen these, I have a friend in Melbourne who can send them to me for my "birthday".
Is there any issue with running larger injectors than you need, just incase I want to step up to 5.o ltr becase I am that stupid.

very dependant on application and ecu, and of course the injectors.DaveEFI wrote:You'll have problems getting a decent idle if the injectors are too large.
42lb's will be a doddle though, they are not big at all relatively speaking.

My understanding is there is a minimum time an injector can be open for as well as a maximum. And if it is too large the idle and cruise will suffer. Sequential probably gives more tolerance than batch - but even that will have a limit.

If you intend DIYing it:-Fozwanger wrote:
How does everyone get on with the mega squirt set up? I'll post this in another section
It depends on how well you understand the principles of electronic injection.
Lots and lots of tweaks via the software.
Most of the units I get in for repair have very badly done mods. To the point where I usually rip them out and start again. Same with wiring harnesses.
If you have good soldering skills and have built electronic projects before without issues you'll be ok. Same with making up the harness. Provided you take time to read all the documentation.
Otherwise, go for a package from ExtraEfi, etc. Don't think you can simply save money by DIYing - unless you know what you're doing.

I'd say the limit on batch is about 800cc per cylinder, although that will depend on camshaft and engine capacity etc.DaveEFI wrote:My understanding is there is a minimum time an injector can be open for as well as a maximum. Some may allow more, some less.
With sequential, Ive tuned 4 cyl cars with the ID2000's on Motec. They are truly remarkable, even happy idling in the 14's !
