I might be wrong, but I can't see anywhere in the Haynes manual that says the frequency of the timing belt needing to be changed. Most petrol cars I have owned recommend 60-70,000 miles. Does the Rover v8 not need it changing.
The reason I ask is that I would normally change a timing belt on an engine I don't know the history of. However, it looks like a complex job that I'd like to avoid, particularly that 280NM of torque on the crank pulley bolt ;-(
What d'reckon?
Thanks
RV8 timing belt
