Charge cooler Tone! Liquid pumped through it to cool the charge- the fins are blanked off to any outside air.

Serp pumps go anticlockwise iirc.

I will be adding a radiator to cool the water, it may end up under the car as I have no room at the front anymore. Thats the weekends job.

are you going to make a 2 layer laminar flow radiator to fit right across the underside of the car? Now that would be a neat piece of engineering, though it may cabin a bit warm in traffic in July.

nothing as exciting as that, just an oil cooler under the car which shouldnt be much different from fitting it at the front should it? I did wonder about fitting 2 under the car,

Phil, I still have my old radiators from my chargecooler if you want to have a play around with them - it might at least give you some ideas of the sort of size you need - as i dont think an oil cooler radiator is going to be suitable at-all.

(not looking a nice as that anymore though!)

The SC setups that a certain TVR company sell have about 2/3rds that wrap and they seem to work. Whilst I agree its not ideal, I will have to see how it goes.

Interesting, well it it works for them hopefully will work for you.
The reason I noticed is because i've been designing my pulley system for my supercharger and in doing lots of research on newer engines they all have a good deal of belt wrap arround the crank and smaller pulleys like the alternator. Obviously with more belt wrap you get more friction, so having more belt wrap would mean you could run a lower belt tension to transmit the same power, or same tension to transmit more power. The standard serp layout also has rather poor crank pulley belt wrap but this isn't having to drive a supercharger.

Hi Tom,
I had a better look at mine and its not a great picture. Theres more wrap than shows to be honest. OK, not a lot more, but the pic isnt great.
I will have a measure to find out the angle of wrap.

The SC version is dreadful, Im not convinced that works well if Im honest, but if it does then mine certainly will. I can always add some form of idler later, theres plenty of room , Im just trying to get it done as simply as possible.

I was thinking if you do get slip (hopefully you wont

) you could try down from the alternator, round the crank, then round the water pump, then to the supercharger, then to the alternator with maybe an idler to the right of the alternator.
