I agree that it's easier to change over the bellhousing end. I wasn't sure if the input shafts were the same between the various versions.
The Sherpa version has a cable speedo drive, and the most substantial output shaft bearing that I've ever seen!

Also note that the governer is engine specific - it sets the maximum engine speed before an upshift. I have a Volvo governer on my V8, and it upshifts at 6000rpm which is a tad late. The Range Rover one is set for 5500rpm.
