sd1 alternator bracket

just checking , are all SD1 V8 alternator brackets the same i.e will an alternator bracket from a series 1 fit my Vitesse,

I think so least I have only ever seen one type.

Hi ,
There's two different styles of SD1 V8 alternator bracket, but they have the same mounting points and also the same spacing for the alternator, which hangs below the bracket.

Either type of SD1 bracket will be ok , as they are fully interchangeable.

I assume my EFI being a late model has the latest one - the alternator hangs from it. And it has broken twice.

The early type has a flat top with more alloy in it , and does tend to be the stronger of the two.

They don't break that often, is your alternator alignment ok ?

As it came from the factory - so unlikely.

But there's no adjustment as such.
