Post by jomeo »

Thought id post this in this topic as its to do with engines i guess.

Managed to somehow find this.

I believe they are all complete and available to view online.

Hi Joe!!

I've just flicked through a few of these. And they seem to be complete.
Must be some IT cock up that has actually displayed all the contents of the books for sale...

How do we save them before this gets pulled. Theres nowt like a good freebie eh??

Things aren't what they seem my friend. There are pages missing. ;-)

Still a good find though!

Oh yes!!
A browse before you buy sort of thing then. Still, bloody useful info in the preview pages anyway...

Says right on the bottom of the first page,

"This is a preview. The total pages displayed will be limited."

I read 'How To Power Tune Rover V8's" a few months ago and must admit that after reading it I was left with the impression that all production R V8's were terribly unreliable.

Yet when you look there are thousands around that have done 100K plus with ease.

Most of it reads as an ad for the various tuners IMO.

I would agree with you on that. They are good to see what can be done but really its just the authors opinion. There is a lot of good info in them all the same. If you were to believe a certain well known parts/tuning supplier you would have to spend a fortune to get a half way reliable engine and that just isnt the case.
