I found this on the Edelbrock website

I have bought a performer rpm air gap for my Ford 302 that I intended to convert to EFI, but the lazy side of me wants to sell it and buy one of the ready made ones.
How big was the difference on the road ? My 302 is going into a fairly light car with a gearbox that does not like too much low down torque so the new manifold might even help but I don't want the car undrivable
Sorry to ramble on but I would appreciate your thoughts or input from any one who have tried both types of manifold.....

Edit to add I have Performer RPM heads and will pick a cam that gives peak power at around 6000 to 6500 rpm
