FAO Eliot or any one with inlet info

I've read through your website and noticed you changed from Victor Jr to Performer.
I found this on the Edelbrock website

I have bought a performer rpm air gap for my Ford 302 that I intended to convert to EFI, but the lazy side of me wants to sell it and buy one of the ready made ones.
How big was the difference on the road ? My 302 is going into a fairly light car with a gearbox that does not like too much low down torque so the new manifold might even help but I don't want the car undrivable :?

Sorry to ramble on but I would appreciate your thoughts or input from any one who have tried both types of manifold.....

Mark

Edit to add I have Performer RPM heads and will pick a cam that gives peak power at around 6000 to 6500 rpm

Hi!
I think you will be fine.
Mine is 1800 kilos, massive wheels, autobox and heavy 4wd system - So it needs a good dollop of torque in the mid range.
It still drove fine, but it felt duller in the low/mid (bit like having a 10-15 degree ignition retard) - so I swapped it back to dual plane.
In a way, I wished I had kept the manifold to try with forced induction - but its long gone now.
