I am in the process of building a Buick/Rover hybrid engine.
I have a 4.6 block, and a 4.6 crank I plan on having offset ground to around a 3.4" stroke. The engine will use modified 1964 aluminum Buick 300 heads.
I had thought about using an interim front cover with the crank driven pump and provisions for a distributor..... but I live in the USA .....and interim covers are about as rare as hens teeth around here.
Q.How do I run the long snout 4.6 crank with the older short snout style front cover and associated components. Ie dampner, pullys etc...
? Is there some sort of spacer available?
Thanks, Tony
