Which Air Flow Meter

Post by Cheffy »

Hi Gents,

I have an engine which it would appear was originally an early RR carb engine but which has had an EFI system fitted since.

The engine came without an air flow meter. My question is how do I know which air flow meter to get - hotwire or flapper type? What should I look for that would identify which EFI system I have.

TIA

Mart.

Do you have a resistor pack for the injectors if so 90% sure its a flapper.
If you don't then 90% sure its a hotwire.

But it may need a resistor pack, but you have not got one.

Best tell us what ECU you have plus a picture of the injectors and fuel rail to be 100% sure.
