its definatly opening,iv tested it and i tested the one i took out of it and they both worked,last time i had the water system running ok was when the flapper system was on it so i think il just put the hotwire system on the flapper inlet manifold,hopefully that will fix it,

Is it a new setup, or anything changed recently? Airlock; run car from cold, with cap off till top hose nice & hot. Sometimes helps to jack the car up at the front, depends on setup. i have changed engines and from flapper to hotwire,i have tried running it from cold to get any air out of the syste...

its in a kit car,it always worked before but now if i fitted this new hotwire system i cant seem to get the water to flow past the thermostat,iv done everything i can to get air locks out,im miffed,im going to take the thermostat off tommorrow and test it but its brand new so it should be working

hi im just half contemplating a megasquirt set up,just wondering are they interchangeable between engines,if i sold my engine a few yeard down the road when tax is too high would i be able to put it on say a renault v6 as well,

iv got it running ok now apart from the fact that its running very rich,a mechanic i called said i should be using a red tune resistor instead of a green one,
does this sound right

i just thought,could my engine be running bad cos i used a 470 ohm resistor instead a 520 ohm resistor on the wire that tells the ecu to go inot manual mode

i noticed on my rv8 dissy the vacuum advance and the amp are next to each other but on all the dissys on ebay they are opposite each other,so whats the differance between mine and these

i couldnt get the car started when i blocked off the two pipes so i used some mole grips to clamp the pipe down,its possible the vacuum was still getting through

im going to give it a another go tommorrow,

ok that problem just went away but its still not running right,i tried adjusting that screw and it doesnt reall do much to the engine running so as im not sure why its not running right,im going to put another hotwire plenum on and start again and go from there, no doubt il be back on tommorrow aski...

im unable to do it as the engine is running quite badly at the mo,i cant figure it out,with everything connected it wont start if i take the vacuum hose off the fuel pressure regulater it will start it i put my finger over the pipe that comes out the plenum which is now open it stalls,any ideas, car...

tuning hotwire system

so far the knowledge i have is throttle potentimeter thing Red from volt meter to red wire of pot. Black wire from volt meter to Green of pot and get to between 0.34 and 0.35 so i put it to 0.34 volts next is the air flow meter which for a non cat system like mine is using multimeter on Red with Bla...

i guess the coils ment to do taht cos it does work,my hand arm and heart verify that,i traced the problem to the lil black pack on the side of the dissy
