So do both the discs actually sit properly on the splines ? Can you post a photo of the input shaft to see exactly where the two discs have been sitting ? I'm away from the car till next week but the discs were sitting in the middle of the input shaft and properly located, ie the were well away fro...

Is the second plate in the same condition and is the gearbox shaft damaged? It's possible you had a mismatch of plate splines as there are 2 types of 23 splines plates. One type (Imperial) suits the Rover LT77 and the second type (Metric) fits a Ford Cosworth gearbox. They are both swopable but hav...

I've just got round to spending some time on the car, the clutch is goosed but I can't see how this could happen? http://i263.photobucket.com/albums/ii137/mrsweetpee/292d05ccc27b06978da670c5e6122f99_zps3044b56b.jpg http://i263.photobucket.com/albums/ii137/mrsweetpee/1fb8a4b466e68c87f65c784fa96b6bfb_...

The twin plate Mcleod clutch is thicker than the original single clutch so if there is no free clearance at the release bearing you may need to adjust the length of the slave cylinder push rod or release arm pivot ball height or even trim the rear of the release bearing carrier. I run a single 10.5...

Unless you have thrashed it I don't accept the response from Mcleod. The clutch has 4 friction surfaces that would all need to slip. As well as checking the release bearing free play also check that the master cylinder push rod is not loaded when the pedal is fully released. (I assume it's hydrauli...

Mcleod Rst clutch slipping
I've got a mcleod Rst clutch and matching flywheel which is supposed to handle upto 800 hp, In 4th or 5th when the boost hits about .8 of a bar the clutch begins to slip, its not done many miles and I've not abused it properly yet so I'm unsure how this could be? Is there anything I can adjust or is...

You won't notice much difference if at all really. I had a custom blended trumpet base on my twin turbo, never had it running tho, but I got it more because I could rather than because I needed it lol. Unfortunately I have a thing for shiny stuff and I don't always buy through necessity but cos it ...

Any gains to be had with inlet mods?
On my twin turbo RV8 I have 71mm plenum butterfly, 45mm short trumpets and V8 developments stage 3 heads,
What would the pros and cons to a blended trumpet base be if any?
Cheers

I think you just need to fix the oil leaks, rather than looking for a fictional problem you think is causing it. As from your description, it sounds like a pretty horrific oil leak. I certainly never had any such issues with any RV8 I ever owned, at least not until one melted a piston and spewed oi...

Thanks for the info. What I'm trying to achieve is just stop the oil leak, it's quite embarrassing after a spirited drive to pull up at traffic lights in a cloud of smoke as it drips onto the exhaust, I think I'm going to start with removing the wire gauze from both flame traps first to see if that ...
