Just on the last stages of finishing my GT6 3.5 v8 project. I wanted some help in selecting speedo & rex counter options. Currently have original GT6 smiths mechanical gauges but need to mate them up to the SD1 engine with lt77 gearbox.Both gauges have a screw on thread at the back for the cable...

Choice of 2 lt77 Gearboxes-which one shall I fit ?
I have a choice of 2 lt77 5 speed gearboxes in my garage to go into my gt6 v8. One is a 17A (rover 2300/2600),the other a CL number(TR7).Are they identical for the internals.The 17A box has no play in the shaft,but the tr7 box has about 1mm of play.I dont really want to start opening them up.
