On one of the engines I'm building at the mo, the oil strainer touches the btm of the sump & wont allow the sump to seat on the btm of the block properly (you can see damage on the mesh & scratches on the inside of the sump where they have rubbed together) I was thinking of drilling holes around the...

you can of course run the carb in a closed plenum, so pressure is equalised and you dont need a special carb, but you do need rising rate fuel pressure so you dont push the fuel back along the fuel line,
What do you mean by a closed plenum?

I sorted mine by jacking the back wheels up and spinning the back wheels and then jumping on the clutch & ...

I looked on the wikipedia site & they say its about 170kg, and the V8church website say about 320lb which is about 145kg :? :? :? :? But they also put a little note about the weight being- "Approx, will vary depending upon nature of ancillaries fitted. "

Yeah I think 230kg sounds abit heavy :!: I would say it was just a good 2 man lift as me and my brother lifted one into/out of a landrover, then carried it down my garden to the shead by the header pipes  230lbs I think is about 104kg which sounds more like it to me P.s It was heavy though

No I wouldnt do such a thing   Its my only car that I use it for everyday duties, but Im slowly changing it into a sort of v8 powered road going rally car. The main reason I want the roll cage is to offer me & my passenger (only 2 seats) a bit of protection should it all go wrong, because ...
