Vehicle?
But yes, one will be a 12v feed, switched by the ignition circuit. The other may be the tacho, and this should be fastened to the -ve side of the coil, along with the wire from the dizzy (points) or the connection from the ignition amplifier. If you;ve got electric ignition, it's likely the +ve supply for the amplifier will come from the coil too.

Firstly how many wires come off the dizzy body? If it's just one then there's no need for an amp. Just connect it (black wire I think?) to the -ve side of the coil.
If there's 2:
Is the amp attached to the dizzy body or does it sit behind the coil?

Normally (a word to be taken with a pinch of salt when refering to RV8 electrics!) there's 2 wires coming from the dizzy to the ign amp (if separate from the dizzy body). These are both white and I don't think it matters which way around they're connected to the amplifier as it's just a magnetic inductance sensing circuit.
Plus 2 wires coming from the amp to connect to the coil. One connects to the low-tension (e.g the spade connectors) coil -ve and the other connects to the coil +ve.
OR
There's 2 wires coming from an amplifier mounted to the dizzy body. One is coil -ve and the other coil +ve.

I'm not sure about wire colours going from amp to coil, sorry.

P.S to I.D your dizzy - look here:

Any problems ring them up and ask to speak to Ian - pretty much anything electrical with the RV8 he knows, at least that's my experience!

Wire colours are:
White - +12V ign feed
White / black - coil negative & tacho feed.

Pretty sure my diz wires were orange and purple, or something similar and fairly exotic, going to the remote amp. the amp had 2 white wires coming from it but these were redundant in my carbed application. If I remember right, but pretty sure.
