Rover 4.2 cross bolted?

Rover 4.2 cross bolted?
Hi all,
Am I right in thinking a 4.2 Rover is cross bolted at the bottom end?
Looking at maybe taking one on with a split liner. Rebore and new liners?

Most 'interim' blocks have the correct mains caps for a crossbolt conversion, EXCEPT those made between Jan and April 1994 which have the earlier type caps.SimpleSimon wrote:And you will need the correct main caps to suit as they are not broad enough to meet the side of the crankcasePOAH wrote:the intermediate 3.9 and 4.2s with the serp front end have the bits for cross bolting but need to be drilled.
