starter moter

i have 1 of those compact starter moters, i think i got it from reel steel,

its a rover v8 to lt77 gearbox.

but the starter doesn't seem to go back far enough and only just gets on the ring gear of the flywheel.

problem is the steering rack just rubs on the starter,

does any1 know what starter moter i need???
