throttle bodies

Post by Seight-V8 »

hello all,

Sat with nowt to do so...thought i would ask...

Anyone know of a throttle body 68-72mm inside diameter that would fit on the act carbon plenum.....

Looking for something with idle stepper motor included and throttle linkage on drivers side of engine.....

Would be best with four bolt holes in mounting flange.....

Aint bothered about the wiring...as i run vems, so can alter to suit...

If not i will carry on with choppping my 4.6 plenum up.

cheers

scott

I'm using one of these on my ACT plenum:

I got mine off ebay for about £50 including throttle pot. Pretty sure it's about 69mm I can't quite remember - I'll try to remember to measure it properly for you. I've sandwiched a 4mm piece of aluminium between the throttle and plenum which is going to act as a mount for the cable. The cable will have to loop round to the passenger side though but I'm pretty sure I will be able to p-clip it to the bolts that hold the plenum down making it quite compact. The required cable movement for full opening is a pretty good match for my Westfield pedal movement too.

My car's not running yet but it looks like it'll be ok.
