r380/lt77/lt95/lt85 gearboxe splines

Post by smokeyone »

I have too many projects going at the same time, some of them are not even my own so would be grateful for a spot of assistance.

If I have this correct r380 & lt77 splines are the same and
lt95 & lt85 are the same splines but not as the r380/lt77.

If you have a rover v8 that was mated to a lt95 is it just the
spigott bush you need to change to mate the engine to a lt77/r380
and if so I am sure I saw somewhere on this forum about a place
that sells the right spiggots.

I hope I have this all correct
Thanks

Rimmer brothers sell the spigot bearings. What you need to change depends on what the engine is going in. The flywheels are different between 2wd and 4wd as are the friction plates and all the other clutch components. So if it was a 4x4 engine going in a car you would need the 2wd flywheel and clutch kit and vice versa.

Thanks for the help. It's all 4x4 so it might be just the spiggot bearing that needs changing ....
