SU throttle disc play

Post by Will Reeve »

Is this excessive? Feels OK with a closed throttle and gets worse until open throttle. I see someone has soldered the bypass up! I don't really want a full rebuild kit, just the service kit (fingers crossed!)

Mine have similar ammounts of play and have set up OK on idle speed, mixture and balance.
Still working on hesitation on acceleration, trying to decide if its damper oil weight or ignition issues.

That looks excessive to me and if it were mine I would not be happy with it.

Fixed with the service kit! There are two rubber "springs" at each side of the spindle, mine were disintegrated! New ones fitted and there is no movement! Result!
