good evening all , newbie here with a question.
Ive got a 1989 carb'ed Disco motor and im looking for an autobox for a trike build.
WTF is a GM G22 3169 529 box.
Anyone know ?

A disco autobox won't be much good for a trike as it's quite a lot of effort to change it from 4WD to 2WD. You'd be better getting a 2WD box and changing the bellhousing to fit the V8.
Or get an LDV 4HP22 from a V8 ambulance / riot van etc which is perfect!
No idea what the GM .... is. Any pics?

hey been doing some reading on the zf4hp22 myself seems it was fitted to a few rwd cars, not sure how the gearing would suit the v8 but check here for a list of cars it was fitted to

from what iv read u would need the disco bell housing torque converter and flex plate and an older non electronic bmw or jag unit unless you intend to run a black box to control the electronics.
another stronger option would be the ZF4hp24 box.

I'd say a bit less than 300bhp if you want it to last, IIRC the Jag six pots that used the BW66 put out 245 bhp as an absolute maximum.
