Anyone tried fitting these into their 14CUX?
They're Bosch Design 111 injectors part # 0280155710-F6VE. They're BMW Original Equipment replacement fuel injectors - upgraded Injectors for M30/M62 engines to be precise - that provide faster pulse rates and more efficient atomization. Design III injectors are flow-matched to within 1% of mfg. specification.
They are a 19lb/hr @ 42psi injector. These match the flowrate of the Lucas units. They have a 4 port nozzle designed to fog at the tip without any air velocity giving far far better atomisation compared to the old Lucas pintle type.
They also fit many Ford engines and are said to provide signifcant improvements in mpg and power on Ford Mustang forums, who use them as a direct replacement for the Ford Motorsport C302 type injectors. They will also apparently fit into Land Rover V8s with Lucas EFI systems without any modifications to the ECU (just as the C302 injectors did).
I think they are different from the Bosch injectors that Mark Adams sells for Rover V8 engined TVRs.
Cost is US$329 for set of 8 from

Dont know if anyone has tried them or not but thinking about it if the pulse rates (take it you mean opening and shutting times) are different they wont be a straight swap for the same map because the fueling will be different. If that doesnt change then the only benefit I can see is the better atomization. Not sure how much of a benefit that will be in a rover since it only has a short distance before it hits the valve and get obliterated anyway.
I have just dumped the lucas green band injectors in favour of Chev LS injectors 0-280-155-917 for my 5.0l TVR. I do have a fully programable ECU.. however have been surprised that just changing the injectors has made such a large difference.
Smoother idle, more consistent AFR and a noticeable surge in upper RPM power.
The 0-280-155-917 have 4 small holes and when I flow tested them, had better atomisation that the lucas "spray".. which was just a jet of petrol
Thoroughly recommend these injector types.
