Fitted a new clutch about 5000 miles ago and its now started making a creaking noise when i press the pedal. I have recently replaced the slave cylinder 1000 miles ago.
Any ideas what is making the noise and should I be worried?
Cant hear it when engine is running and the clutch operation is OK.
It is the self centering type from RPI.
When I eventually have to rip the engine out I think Ill go for a 10.5" heavy duty job with ally flywheel.
Cheers
Mark

Multiplate 7 1/4" clutches are made by Tilton amongst others (AP for instance) do an ebay search under Tilton clutch.
I would drive something with one fitted before you decide to spend the money fitting one. They have a different action to a single plate, and are a bit "dead" comparison (more like a motorbike clutch), You need to be sure you can live with one first especially if you combine it with an ally flywheel and drive in town alot
Best regards
Mike
