HD pushrods.....losing the will!

Post by winkle »

Hi,

Can anyone recommend what pushrods I need and who could supply them!

Ive got a 248 mechanical cam, solid lifters and yella terra roller rockers, so they do not need to be adjustable and only standard length as far as I know!

I bent 1 HD set due to coil bind :? which is now cured.

It seems that heavy duty pushrods vary from £25-£100, steel tube, chrome moly tube, finished, unfinished. (Unfinished seem a pain in the arse to prepare and fit from what ive heard).

Anyone have a similar set up and tell me what they are using? PLEASE.

Steve.

Summit racing list pushrods in many different lengths and contruction and you should be able to find want you want there if you can't get over here. An american manufactuer called Manton makes only pushrods and can make them to any spec you want and are regarded as some of the best available, at a cost... I'm sure the ball on the rover pushrod is 5/16" but yella terras are available with 3/8 ball cups to take heavier duty pushrods if desired, check which ones you have before you buy your pushrods!
