Lumenition

Hi All

I was wondering if any of you are using lumenition ignition on your RV8's.
It's time for a plug change on my engine and am not sure what gap to use as the one in the Haynes manual(SD1) and the one in the lumenition instructions are a country mile apart. I was speaking to a guy with an MGBV8 and he uses as stated in his manual. Just wondered if any of you have experience of this.

How I figured the optimum gap...

Start with the stock gap, go for a run up the biggest hill you can
find at WOT, if you get no pinging(pinking), or break up, open the
gap .002", and lather, rinse, repeat. When you get to breaking up,
back the gap down .004"...
