MSD6A Installation

Anyone know whether a tach adaptor is needed when fitting an MSD 6A to an SD1 fitted with Lumention. It's a voltage triggered Smiths tach (RVS) which was activated by a wire form the -ve side of the coil. I believe if an adaptor is needed MSD have 2 types PN 8910 and 8920.

I am pretty sure the SD1 tach is ok with the MSD kit. Rover fuel injection isnt however. I assume you know not to put it on the coil though but use the tach output on the 6al.
