MSD dizzy for rover v8

found this MSD ?? at my mates garage !
can any one put some light to it ?

there should be a part number stamped on it somewhere that will tell you exactly what it is. I would say is an old one and isnt the billet type. It does look like its for a rover by the gear on the end but the rover ones aren't supposed to have the vac advance unit on them.
