offset grinding the 4.6 crank

Post by hoffbug »

Can you get a true 3.4" stroke out of a 4.6 crank by offset grinding the journals to use a 2" "small journal" small block chevy rod?

If not what is the maximum stroke you can safely get?

Thanks,Tony

I believe the stock Rover 4.6 liter crank is a 3.22 inch stroke.. Id like to try and get it to a full 3.4" stroke.. Basically the same as a Buick 300..
