hello all,
anyone got some good tips on filing/grinding the piston ring gaps....
how to keep the faces parallel when setting them
watched a few youtube vids, that seem to show a nifty piece of kit that isn't available in the UK.....
some home made ideas spring to mind.....
cheers

A Dremel would do it quite nicely.

A friend uses a dremel.
I just place the ring on the edge of a table, bit of wood, engine stand, whatever and use a good sharp file.
Iron rings file very very easily, stainless are a little tougher but once started go quite easy too.
If you wanted to make something to clamp the ring down for filing rather than just holding it...that wouldnt be difficult either.
