Using a Jag Waterpump

Post by topcatcustom »

Hi guys, been a little while since I asked a question!

I need a water pump for my big Nash 8 pot, and I don't fancy using the 1930's one attached at the mo. Looking around for inspiration, apart from using an electric pump (£) I have found this Jag XJ6 one that looks good as it is basically remote, does anyone fancy saying if it should be man enough for the job?

Hi Tom
I would think it should do fine, the nash can't make more than about 250 bhp even if you tune it about as far as you can, that pump is designed for a 250 bhp motor, others I can think of are the Chevy V8 pump (but it has 2 outlets) pretty well anything that is a stand alone unit and for an engine 200bhp+ should be fine.
Best regards
Mike

Cheers Mike, I may go fancy with the engine and plumb in external feeds from the block to the head (a bit like dry deck on an A series), apart from looking awesome it would provide equal flow and should get rid of any hot spots
