What Consumption?
Couldn't find a better place to post
But what sort of consumption do you guys get?
OK I;m more interested in Rover 3.9 numbers nut could make interesting reading
The GT40 3.9Efi seems to vary wildly
A few short runs and a heavy foot and try 8mpg
A run last weekend and about 28mpg (Too many police cars on the M40 to give it a blast so a steady75 / 80. (It does this at 3000 rpm)
Now the car is only 1100kg and not much wind resistance but this sounds better than I expected!
cheers

60-70mph on the motorway I was getting 25 to the gallon in my 1000kg Morris Eight, as streamlined a a housebrick, but a little petitie of cross section.rob b wrote:i can get nearly 24mpg on a run in my Hilux @60mph, around town i dread to think.
The motor is a stock 3.5 with Edelbrock fannymold and Weber 500 carby, and a trifle undergeared, 4000rpm at 80mph.
I get something around 20-25mpg on my daily commute (120 mile round trip) in my 3.5 landy, with twin 2" SU's, running at about 2200 rpm @70. Running a little rich at the moment though, keeps on backfiring every 5 - 10 miles depending on hills and wind
Drops to around 15mpg around the local lanes.
EFI should help sort out the rich running when I can be bothered to switch the kit over.
