same old gearbox question

hi im new here...
just getting my head round the search engine
i have a scrap 3.9 v8 discovery auto and a god mk1 capri shell so....

i also have a lt77 4x4 box.

with the auto its a zf 4hp22 which is fitted to jags and bmws in 2wd so if i either bought a good box and used my bell housing or could i buy a knackered auto box to convert my good one to 2wd??

is there anyway to convert the lt77 to 2wd ??

im on a very tight budget and i know thats the wront place to start but labour will cost me nothing

You can convert a 4WD ZF to 2WD, but it's quite a bit of work.

It is easier to swap the bellhousing on a 2WD one, and use the 4WD bellhousing / torque converter etc.
