You are going to need to study the connectors and pin outs - unless someone else has seen them side by side. Looking on my fAultmate diagnostics, I can't see any settings for the type hvac unit used - which is good.
just looked at the connectors, and c246 on yours is 12 pins and the a/c one is 20 pins. So not a direct plugin replacement.
the servo connectors are the same, not looked at blower yet.
The a/c one has additional sensors such as sunlight and an aspirator which I suspect you will need.
I think it's possible, with a bit of study in rave, which I've just done on my train journey home.

You need a darn good look.

I tried to swap out the controls with another unit that looks identical, but is from an earlier model and has a different part number. It didn't work!

The arrangement for the A/C clutch was changed on the later ones. Early ones drove the clutch directly and later ones [sensibly] went via a relay.
