14 CUX Software

Post by jimbob »

As the title says, is there any software on the market that you can use to check the readings & sensors on the 14 CUX. I know theres test book etc.

Just looking for a cheap solution.

Pretty well all the sensors can be checked with a DVM.

Somebody has written a piece of software for the 14CUX now:

Thanks Gents, yep i've gone through all me#y sensors with the AVO a couple of weeks ago.

Needed something that could log while i was on a test drive, just have a slight hesitation around 2100 rpm, hopefully this will help in tracing the problem, before I start spending cash on parts that really don't need to be changed. All plugs look clean, hopefully its a HT lead.

Will take a look at the Rover Gauge

Does the 14 CUX store fault codes for everything? I'd be surprised if it does.

No i don't think it does, I'd like to know what band i.e. + or - the sensor has before it says its open circuit, hence the rover gauge will log the readings on a test drive, with my lap top hooked up.

Just sent two MAF's off for repair to a company in Nottingham.

Just been searching the throttle pot prices and nearly fell of the chair, nearly 200 squids.

It's perhaps the main reason I converted my flapper SD1 to MegaSquirt. As they age, things like the TPS and flapper wear out - and any remaining new ones shoot up in price. MS software allows pretty well any sensor to be substituted. Same with the injectors.

The RoverGauge free software will give all error codes the ECU generates and stores, all sensor data, fuel map info, long and short fuel trim values, (for those with lambda's ) stepper position and control, fuel pump control, a data logging facility for live sensor data, and a Eprom copy facility. Not such a backward ECU as people think! Discussed here:
