DIY manifold/throttle bodies

Has anyone on here had any success fabricating a tubular inlet manifold to make use of a pair of bike throttle bodies on an RV8?

Not quite what you asked, but I have had good success with this:

I did the design work and a very good fabricator friend welded it together and fixed all the mistakes I made during the design.
