Inner steel speedometer cable drive for R380

Post by 92rrrandall »

Trying to get a custom speedometer cable made up for fit my R380. I need to know how the transmission end of the inner steel speedometer cable is configured. I already know the length and how the dash end is configured.

My assumption is that the inner steel cable that fits into the transmission is 3mm square, or .118" square in inches. The other possibility is .104" or ~2.5mm square. Please let me know.

It appears to be 3mm square speedometer drive hole. Cannot accurately measure it because I can barely get my fingers to it without remove my exhaust pipe. But the 3mm square cable tip slips in.
