Drastic action Funds needed
Hi guys, I'm currently building a 3.5 Vitesse block with the Thor inlet. I believe mega squirt is the best way forward, alas funds are becoming scarce so drastic measures are called for. I have on the back burner a 4.6 which is a future project to include an Eaton m90 super charger. I have a choice of either a twin plenum or a TVR inlet plenum from a 5ltr with matching Mark Addams Ecu. The question is which one would be best suited to the 4.6 as I need to sell the other to release funds to pay for the mega squirt.
So what would you do?

I would get rid of the twin plenum and the ECU. If its blown then does it really need a twin plenum. I am only using a Thor throttle body on mine

Can I ask why you chose a Thor inlet manifold for a 3.5 engine?

Hi dave, a couple of reasons really. All my mates are running carbs and aiming for fast 1/4 mile times. I like to be different, so I've opted for EFI with a twist (Thor) also I'm more interested in 0-60 than top end and in a car that weighs less than 990 kilos it should be interesting!

Hi r2d2hp, thanks for your views, the ecu is actually chipped for the TVR inlet manifold so would probably keep it together.

Be interesting how you get on - especially with the 3.5. I've got a complete Thor top end lying around and it wouldn't be too much trouble to use it with my MegaSquirt.

It was reading here that put me off trying. :D

If a broad spread of torque is your aim, I'd probably not bother with the TP setup. Many say it is actually worse at low to medium revs. But should sell for quite a bit. :D
