Even with half a flat battery these will turn your engine and fire it up.

Drop a high torque gear reduction starter in, I was amazed at how much better it turned over and it was half the weight of the original SD1 starter. I got a TR8 GRS (Nippondenso)from Classic Car Performance in the US .

Hi
I got my latest starter from Cambridge motorsport, very helpful and a very high quality starter at a very good price, made the MSD it replaced seem a rather second rate product.
best regards
