Hi guys, does anyone know Of a decent company in the UK that work with American v8's??
Basically I have a 350 Chevy and a mustang t45 box and want to put the 2 together! I haven't got a flywheel or anything at the moment, so unsure if it would be easier to get a mustang flywheel and clutch setup and have the flywheel re-drilled for the Chevy crank or adaptedin some way, or get a straight bolt on cChevy fly and try to get a clutch made for the job?? Two companies I have spoken to said they can do it but there is sooooo much info they want I don't understand what they are saying! Bolt patterns, plate thickness, splinters diameter, blah blah blah (there was alto more than just the basics I listed there! Lol)
Cheers
Jono

Well if you are unable to measure friction disc diameter and thickness, number of splines then you are never going to get anywhere.
It really isnt difficult.
You use a flywheel and clutch cover that bolts you your engine.
And you use an appropriate friction disc to match that diameter but with splines to suit your gearbox.
No doubt one way or another all those parts will be off the shelf items.
Disc thickness does vary, but more often than not it is around 8mm on most applications.
