Does the ECU 14CUX need to be chassis Earthed?

Post by Ian Anderson »

Well pretty much as the title says

The ECU on my 40 is mounted on a fiberglass bulkhead.

Should it be earthed though the chassis mounting bolts? (If so I can run an earth to it)

thanks
Ian

Mine sits in my glove box and is not bolted to anything and works just fine.

There are earths in the loom, but the ECU case itself doesn't need to be earthed.
