Knock Sensor Thread Size

Does anybody know what the thread and size is on standard blue 4.6 V8 knock sensors, part number ERR 5594.
Need to blank holes after removal.

The holes should be blind anyway ?

That's what you would think but on one side at least i can see the casting for a cylinder.
I'll try a thin bit of wire to see if it will push around into the water jacket.
Would still like to blank off anyway.

Wow. That engine would have leaked like a sieve - there is no sealing to speak of on the knock sensors.

I am not running knock sensors on my 4.6, and although I have never looked really closely down into the holes, I took it for granted that they were blind. Certainly nothing has ever leaked out of them.

It appears that one side had been re-threaded at some time and appeared to have gone into the water jacket.
I fitted a suitable plug amongst some bits just to be sure.
I left the other side open.
