Looks serious

I hope you swap those rocker covers for something slightly more attractive, I mean, they're not bad but they look like something off a tractor

Those ports look good though......obviously well-proven and thought out!

They're a bit industrial aren't they! I'm stuck with them though as normal rover covers or anything from anything else won't fit. I was thinking of a crackle black finish?

Is RS suppling those heads with a custom intake manifold?
The intake ports are different to anything I know.

No you use your own modified to suit. Its well within the realms of grinding and epoxying. I might even give the itb's another try with these.

I'm no expert!

They well made, no rough bits, all good in that dept.

The ports are small but they flow well enough to put out 330ish hp on a 5.0 so obviously capable.

The rocker covers look better in the flesh too!

The covering letter i have says no way for 3.5's but they will be bringing out a another version for the 3.5's plus i think they'll be constantly updating the head too as time goes on.

I'll wait and see what the engine goes like which won't be for a while yet as i have alot more other bits to get yet and now thanks to these monies non existant! I'm also talking to the chap who bought my itb's to see if he wants to sell them back to me as he may be getting a supercharger for his TreVoR and they'd compliment these heads well i think, i just hope i can master them, if i get them that is. . . .

interesting lumps in the bottom of the inlet ports. Its more normal to have them in the top to spread the air round the valve guide. Zero room for bigger valves by the looks of it and port matching with the inlet will be interesting with those shapes, surprised they don't do an inlet to fit as the shapes are so different. Nice looking heads though and there looks to be room for mods if needed.

Well ref the inlets i'm certain a standard, untouched inlet manifold could be ported to suit as the ports really aren't that big!

I was thinking you would actually have to do some welding to the manifold to fill in where the curve is, where the standard is more rectangular without the corner missing. Course the port could be taller but I cant tell that from the pic. Stick a gasket on and you will soon see. One thing is for sure there must be an advantage to that shape or they wouldn't have done it.

Marki the bumps on the port floor are certainly very interesting. Perhaps they serve to guide the airflow arond the stem? or maybe by increasing the surface area of the short turn by introducing these bumps they have managed to reduce seperation from the port floor by the inlet charge? Anyway I think the most obvious improvement over the rover design is apparent in the topmost of the pics Gav has posted...
