I had thought about similar myself, just not really sure what sort of filter to use. How long it might last etc.

The actual oil/air separator section would need to be very good before the filter.
I actually bought a cheap LPG inline filter to look at. It had 16mm hosetails on the end and a paper element and alloy body. It may be suitable, although something larger diameter would have been nice.
Never bothered using it, I just have a small K&N filter on the catch tank as a breather.

Only downside with mine really, is it seems to gather huge amounts of condensation. I think it's because it's mounting so far away from the engine and long hose runs. But really not sure. It does gather some amount of crap though. That said, even when I had a smaller one mounted close to the engine, it gathered some crap too.
That's with a cold start or a normal 90degC stat in the engine. My old RV8 was never as bad.

we have some flat panel paper elements that are used on the mowers at work,
that has an oil breather system on them too, we also have filter boxes for them to go in :lol:
may nick one and see how long they last,

The Pipercross one might be suitable....although by their reckoning about all the hose sizes it does, sounds like it's only 13mm and the sleeve it for bigger hoses.

At least the hole is a reasonable size.

I'd say that when mounting any such filter it would need to go from catch can into the bottom of the filter, then the top side would go to the intake/air filter plumbing.
Again, so that any moisture, oil or whatever that did get trapped, would naturally run back into the main tank.

I'd say they're disposable. Given what I'm suggesting they're going to use them for....I'd say they'd last a very very long time.

It isnt to filter as such, more just an additional oil/air separator to ensure nothing gets into the intake. And actual airflow through it would be fairly low.

all hoses here now,
But due to the landlord serving us notice everything has been put on hold,

we are now at the new house, BUT no garage or base yet,
I have 1 week to get the old garage down and moved over to the new house, (any takers :( )
once this is done we can get a new base put down, get the garage back up and move the capri over to here then and start work again,
