Hi there y'all

Just curious , just finished putting a smick 3.5ltr Rover V8 (dynoed @ 550 rwhp) in my GU. Want to run thermo's cos i plan to comp FCUK out of it & now with all the extra Ponies under the bonnet I need an Awsome cooling system to back it up. I realised the standard engine fan set up was drawing too many ponies from my right foot when a new Clubsport R8 blew me off at the lights yesterday.

Anyhoo, my question is what is the difference between the AU & BA fans?

Anyone who don't know, a GU is a big 4x4 and an R8 clubsport is wat my mrs has which has an LS1 in it!!wat is he on?

I think a conversion factor of 3 to 4 "ponies" to the BHP might be what he is on! The chavs drive V8s over there do they.?.? scary

.... from the Aussie Slang Dictionary

schmick

adjective 1. very classy; done up amazingly well: a really schmick car.
verb 2. to do up beautifully.

Also, smick. [see German schmuck neat, spruce, smart]

Cheers Kev
I thought Smick might have been some underground builder of monster Rover engines!!
If he had this dynoed as a 4x4, do you think he may have been told its about 125bhp, and then multiplied it by the 4 driven wheels, he he !!

How do they give you a Dyno readout for a 4x4 anyway? Do you get a figure for both sets of wheels? I must ask my mate with the rolling road.

....it's easy! 2 wheels dynoed @ 275 rwhp (not impossible) therefore 4 wheels must give 550 rwhp!!!!

Must get myself a transfer box

Is that true Kev? Cos the pissed guy down the pub last night who used to work for McClaren reckons if you use 2 parts EP90 and 1 part whale peepee in the transfer boxes it can easily align the planets to give FOUR times the original crank hp reading.

T'is true i tell thee!

Demo, post the below in that dudes thread.
