Connecting standard land rover fuel pipe to edelbrock

Post by Automania »

Hi guys just wondering how people are connecting the two pipes? My current setup has a fuel pipe with an olive on it which screws onto the su carb, I need to convert this to the edelbrock push on and clamp type fitting. Has anyone got a nice neat method of doing this? Cheers mike

All i've ever done is fit a fuel hose to the existing feed pipe and use that to connect onto the barb from the Edelbrock fitting.

can you show us a picture of your fuel line?

If you dont want to run a new line I would think about gently cutting through the olive with a juniour hacksaw. Just cut it deep enough to leave a fraction of brass left. Insert a screwdriver into the slot you have just made and twist. It should snap off so you can then slide the nut off and have a section of metal pipe left to fit hose and clips :)

You may be lucky and find that it will twist off if you try very gently with some pliars or push the nut over the olive and use an adjustable spanner to tap the nut.

You get the idea eh?
Olive off without damaging pipe. Fuel hose and clips to join pipe and carb :)

Regards
