14CUX wiring Harness
Hi,
I'm loking for an engine wiring harness for a Rover V8 with 14CUX hotwire system, circa 1987 with Lambda sensors .
My MGB V8 had a bad fire some while back, I've managed to find a wiring harness on e-bay , but it does not have the Lambda sensor wiring, and the diagnostic plug is not right, I guess it's from an earlier car.
Does anyone here have a good source for old Rover V8 parts, who might have trhe harness please ?

can you not release them from the old ECU plug ?

I have swapped from 14CUX to MegaSquirt and so have a pulled apart harness including the lambda sensor connections, diagnostic socket, Cat / non-cat resistors, etc. Will this help?
Richard.

My loom is all taken apart and wires cut so it is a bin job anyway. I thus have the ECU plug with wires where some / most are short and have been cut. The lambda sensor connectors are thus in effect off the loom. I have both the LR sensors too as I've now gone wideband.mikemgbv8 wrote: seems a pity to destroy you old loom when I can probably "bodge" mine.
You could join the wires into your loom by soldering together and covering in heatshrink.

Hi Richard,
I've just pulled my old harness apart, and it's a bit sad looking, so I will take you up on your kind offer if I may.
Are the Lambda sensors still attached to the blue screened wire ?
Are they handed, I noticed the wire on pin 23 has a white sleeve on it to distinguish it from the one on pin 24 ?
The wires to the diagnostic plug seem different from the wiring diagram , the harness plug which connects to the reader has the same colours as the diagnostic , ie brown, black/grey, pink and brown/pink, but at the ECU end it's white/lt green pin 9, white/pink pin18, blue/grey pin 27, and white yellow pin 37.
looks like I'm going tohave to follow the wire back and see wher they change colours.
If you can let me know how much you want for the lambdas and blue screened wires, and the diagnostic plug and associated wires , I'll arrange to send funds to you.
Thganks once again
